We are real foodies at NINE & TENNE, and love to spend as much time as possible in the kitchen – mainly to ensure that our catered ski holidays are of the very highest quality.
We take great pride in every aspect of service in our ski chalets, and as foodies we know how important delicious food is on holiday. Along with our team of talented young chefs we create delicious menus that are elegant, seasonal and mouth-watering. During your holiday we will prepare beautiful honest food for you; some nostalgic classic dishes, and some inspired modern international cuisine – and we are confident you will find them all delicious.
In each of our catered chalets guests have their own chalet manager, professional chef and chalet girl to take care of everyone’s needs, so there’s always someone on hand to help with any special requests or dietary wishes.
During your holiday we provide a delicious breakfast each morning including fresh bread, fresh fruit, cereals and yogurts, plus a different hot option each day such as smoked salmon and scrambled egg, eggs benedict, pancakes or full English.
A catered ski holiday would not be the same without a home made cake or biscuits waiting for you after a day on the slopes, and at NINE & TENNE we are confident our lemon drizzle cake is one of the best in the Alps.
We feel one of the highlights of a catered ski holiday is having a great evening meal and plenty of wine with friends and family around a big table; sharing ski stories from the day and joking about who fell over the most. Holidays are a magical time and sharing it over a fantastic meal with loved ones is priceless. So at NINE & TENNE we take this responsibility very seriously.
On four nights we start the evening with aperitifs and canapés such as fois gras on mini toasts with home made fig jam. The table is always laid beautifully with candles and dinner party music. One of our favourite starters this year was poached salmon on a bed of pickled salad, capers and orange.
This was followed by filet mignon pork, local boudin noir, apple puree, smoked bacon & thyme croquets and cider jus. For dessert we offered a choice of fruit salad or home-made chocolate tart with mixed red berries. And finally each evening is finished with a local cheese and selection of chutneys.
Most of our guests find eating four courses for a whole week is a bit too much, so on two evenings we offer what we call ‘comfort food’. Most people still eat around the table however sometimes guests enjoy this in front of a good movie. Examples of our comfort food meals are: Steak and green pepper sauce, Thai chicken curry or even a classic Lasagne. As with all elements of our catered ski holidays we like to chat with all of our guests to see what they prefer.
At NINE & TENNE all of our catered ski holidays are completely flexible and we can cater for everyone; from the most adventurous eaters to the more fussy, children’s meals to gluten free and dairy intolerant, whatever your choice we are here to make sure your catered holiday is perfect.
