Our chalet holidays offer luxury for grown-ups and magical adventure for little ones.

We are proud to have been voted Best in Class for Family Ski Holidays on the Mumsnet forum. We are delighted to have achieved this certificate of excellence because it is based on the positive feedback from clients who have stayed with us.

In the Chalet

  • We know children need lots of entertaining so all of our catered chalets come equipped with plenty of games, sledges, toys and Apple TV with lots of kid’s movies.
  • We have a team of talented young chefs who prepare fresh home-cooked, healthy meals, with flexible menu options to suit children of all ages. If your child has any major likes, dislikes or dietary requirements please let us know and we will adjust the menu accordingly.
  • Not all children have the stamina to ski all day so it can be very helpful to book a chalet with luxury facilities to help keep them entertained such as playroom, table tennis or indoor swimming pool.
  • Baby Bits – We have all the necessary equipment for babies such high chairs and cots and we are also happy to buy in nappies, wipes etc for your arrival to save your luggage space.
  • Please let us know if you would like any help with childcare and we can arrange a babysitter to come to the chalet. Depending on the number of children the cost is 15 euros per hour.
  • Top Tip – We arrange to have your hired skis and boots delivered to the chalet so you can sit back and relax rather than queuing up at the shop.

On the Slopes

  • It all depends on the individual child, but in general children can start learning to ski when they are four years old.
  • Choosing a family friendly resort like Chatel which has a good snow record and easy access to beginner slopes is ideal so children can hit the slopes straight away without long tele-cabine queues.
  • From our experience most children really enjoy learning with their friends, so holidaying with another family with similar aged children works really well.
  • If possible we recommend hiring a private instructor who can give your children more focused attention than group lessons, ensuring their first ski experience is really positive. Prior to your holiday we will discuss your requirements and book the best instructors for you.
  • When planning your ski day your chalet manager will point you in the direction of the best slopes, cafes and even book you the best table for lunch. Remember children need plenty of stops (preferably with hot chocolate!)
